Newcross supports Charities and Local Communities
We pride ourselves on our social conscience, but also our ability to act swiftly where we see a need. We have responded to international disasters with immediate donations, but also taken part in activities much closer to home where some of our staff members have been able to get involved. Some of our recent charitable activities are shown below.

The Generosity of Newcross
In 2016 we chose four charities we pledged to raise funds for: Sport Relief, Macmillan, Children in Need and the NSPCC. With these charities came the generous donations from the Newcross team. We raised a total of £4,373.79 for these amazing causes. Due to everyone’s input, people in the UK and around the world will be leading better lives. Thank you to all of our staff for their contributions.
Christmas Fair at Head Office
Staff at Head Office sewed, glued and baked extensively to sell wonderful Christmas gifts and goodies at our very first Christmas Fair in aid of NSPCC, raising a huge £225.70!
Newcross Bristol Spread Christmas Cheer
Lending a helping hand and making a difference to the lives of others, is something our staff at Newcross do on a daily basis. The festive season is no exception.
Hamilton Branch Donate to Those in Need
The Hamilton branch were overwhelmed by the generosity of their staff. Gifts and new toys have flooded in for Angela Crawley MP's Christmas Toy Donation Appeal. Families in need will benefit as a result of their kindness.

Becoming Dementia Friendly
in 2016, we are pledging to become dementia friendly by encouraging all employees to sign up and become Dementia Friends.
Newcross Tom goes to Tanzania
Newcross employee, Tom Evans has been selected to join Raleigh International’s 12 week overseas placement in Tanzania.
'Wear it Pink' for Breast Cancer Now
SStaff across Newcross’ branches nationwide celebrated Breast Cancer Awareness month in October by coming to work wearing pink.
Superheroes raise money for Children in Need
In November 2015, Newcross staff decided to support the yearly charity event, Children in Need by dressing up as their heroes raising an amazing £682.50 for the cause.
Newcross donates infinity tunnel to respite centre
Newcross Healthcare has donated an infinity tunnel to the Treetops unit at the White Lodge Centre in Surrey. Designed to sooth and relax, the tunnel displays an optical illusion light show which gives an impression of infinite depth.
Rose Lee takes a walk to remember
Rose Lee, Territory Manager for Newcross in West Scotland, her sister Caroline, Jackie Tolland BCM Hamilton and Helen McCabe Regional Operations Manager joined thousands of others to walk in memory of a loved one to support Marie Curie.
Newcross Louise 'dips' for Dementia
Louise Haswell has raised over £500 for Dementia Awareness and St. Benedict’s Hospice by going for a “dip” on Boxing Day at Seaburn beach in Sunderland.
Supporting the NSPCC at Christmas
We delivered presents to NSPCC Service Centres around the UK. These service centres provide free essential support and advice to children and parents who are in need.
Macmillan Coffee Morning in Newcross Kirkcaldy
Newcross Healthcare was delighted to support Macmillan Cancer Research throughout 2015, by holding coffee mornings in their branches across the UK raising a total of £1226.43.
Tartan Team Perth support local Autism charity
Well done to Team Newcross in Perth who completed a sponsored walk to raise money for a local charity “Perth Autism”.
Shelterbox donation to support 15 families in Nepal
We have donated £20,310 to ShelterBox, to help people left homeless following the devastating 7.8 magnitude earthquake, which hit Nepal on Saturday 25th April.
Newcross staff 'do something funny for money'
On the day, fancy dress themes ranged from cartoon characters to police officers, from toga outfits to impersonations of our senior management team!
We also take our environmental responsibilities very seriously, and recently achieved the ISO14001 award for our sustainable approach to resource use and environmental impact reduction.
The award was made in recognition of our business-wide commitment to acting in an environmentally responsible manner from switching off unnecessary lighting to ensuring as much waste material recycled as possible.
