1996 - Newcross founded by Michelle Gorringe and Stephen Pattrick
1998 - Achieved ISO 9000 accreditation
1999 - Flagship branch opens in Torquay
2000 - ISO upgraded to ISO 9001
2000 - Newcross achieve Investors in People recognition
2000-2003 - Continued expansion with branches in Bristol, Liverpool and Southampton
2003 - Launch of our revolutionary online booking system, providing clients and staff with complete control over bookings
2004 - Newcross moves from Torquay to new headquarters in Berry Pomeroy, Totnes
2004 - All staff receives payslips online and via text message
2005 - Introduction of OCR recognition to timesheets, allowing timesheets to be scanned into our system and automatically invoicing client and paying staff
2005 - Newcross changes its name to Newcross Healthcare Solutions
2005 - Launch of EROC (Emergency Relief on Call), ensuring a member of staff is always available at a moment's notice
2005 - Launch managed services system to oversee temporary staff banks on behalf of organisations
2005 - Newcross celebrates its 10-year anniversary and launches a home-based intensive care paediatric service
2006 - Newcross provide Carer Kitbags to all Homecare Staff, which include an alarm, latex-free gloves, apron, circuit breaker torch and antibacterial hand gel
2007 - Newcross awarded Fire Mark Award by Royal Sun Alliance in recognition of outstanding health and safety controls within our service
2008 - Newcross introduce digital pens for Homecare workers, allowing them to securely service user notes and timesheet details electronically to our management system
2008 - Newcross offsets its carbon footprint by working with co2balance.com
2008 - Newcross Healthcare Solutions awarded groundbreaking contract by the Peninsula Purchasing and Supply Alliance (PPSA)
2008 - New office opens in Glasgow
2008 - Newcross launch Supported Living Service
2010 - New office opens in Aberdeen
2010 - Newcross and CrossReach announce the signing of a 3 year multi million pound groundbreaking agreement for Newcross to supply and manage all temporary nursing and healthcare staff throughout the CrossReach organisation
2011 - New offices open on the Isle of Wight and in Inverness
2012 - Swansea, Kirkcaldy and Woking branches open and ISO 14001 accreditation achieved. iPhone and Android apps now available on the app & play stores.
2013: New branches opened in Cardiff, Chester, Durham, Gloucester, Reading and Royal Tunbridge Wells. We also achieved ISO 27001 (internet security) accreditation.
2014: New branches opened in several locations including Worcester, Swindon, Shrewsbury, Newcastle and Canterbury. Team Newcross raise over £10,000 for charity by cycling from London to Paris. Newcross accredited with the Investors in People Standard for the fourth time! We also launched our very own Newcross game, Casualty Commander.
2015: New branches opened include Coventry, Eastbourne, Ayr, Colchester, Ashford, Yeovil, Barnstaple, Norwich, Hereford. We also re-launched our employee intranet with more features and made it easier for staff to connect with us online.
2016 so far: New branches opened so far are Nottingham, Romford, Stockport, Lincoln, Chichester, Peterborough. We pledged to become a dementia friendly organisation and achieved the ISO 9001:2015 quality standard.
