Healthcare Assistant Job in Tiverton (HCA) - Flexible Hours

We have several job vacancies for experienced Healthcare Assistants to work with our clients in the local Tiverton area of Devon through our friendly Barnstaple branch based on Castle Park Road.

You will be working in local nursing, care and residential homes, bringing the Newcross standard of care to everyone you encounter.

You will be responsible for ensuring each individual receives an excellent standard of care that meets their personal care plan. This could include: dressing, washing, toileting and enabling service users to live their daily lives as they choose. You will promote the independence of service users, enabling them to live fulfilling lives, partaking in their favourite activities and interacting with their families, friends, visitors and other residents.

We can offer you flexible working hours suited to your availability, with all the added security of a permanent contract and guaranteed hours.

Many of our client locations are not accessible by public transport, therefore it is essential that you have access to your own transport.

In order to be successful in this role, you will need to be a naturally compassionate person with a strong sense of empathy for those individuals in your care.

You will also need the following:

  • Right to live and work in the UK
  • At least 3 months’ previous paid experience working in a care environment in the UK within the last 3 years
  • Referee contact details for your current place of work, including a manager who can comment on your clinical ability, and for all employments in the past 18 months or your 3 most recent jobs
  • A certificate confirming your participation in a practical moving and handling course in the last 12 months, or be willing to book onto a Newcross course
