Transforming clinical support with technology

We are excited to announce that we will be testing the use of video conferencing with appear.in from the 12th February. This will enable our Clinical Nurse Advisor Teams to speak face-to-face with our employees for reflective discussions, revalidation and medicines competency discussions.

Our aim is to make encounters with our employees more personal and supportive, further illustrating our aim to be more than a voice on the phone.

The technology appear.in, is similar to Facetime or Skype, it will allow our employees to pop into branch and talk to anyone round the country.

To start this pilot we are offering employees based in England and Wales the opportunity to book with their branch a reflective discussion, revalidation support, confirmation sign off or discussion of medicines competency answers. If the pilot is successful we plan to include nurses in Scotland.

Not only do our Clinical Nurse Advisor team offer support and advice on revalidation and medical competences for both our healthcare employees and branches, they provide ongoing assistance with clinical issues.

No matter how well qualified or experienced, occasionally we all need to call on others for support and advice. In a healthcare environment, this is especially important and the need for guidance and expertise can arise any time.
