impact of the service we provide covers 3 main areas:-

Transport - (staff
going to and from their placement)
It is company policy to identify and encourage staff to
car share if they are going to the same place of work
not only is it good for the environment, our clients that
pay for mileage save money.
Our Extranet service (where nurses can register on line
with their availability for work etc.) also includes a
mapping tool that gives them the most appropriate and
direct route to their work place minimising the use of
the car.
When allocating a member of staff part of our search criteria
identifies staff that are closest to the place of work
that meet the search criteria.

Training - As company
policy we provide infection control training and COSSH,
which includes the effective and correct way of disposing
of clinical and industrial waste. The safe storage procedures
for used clinical equipment and the recycling of used
equipment and the prevention of cross infection in the
work place.

Service delivery - In
an effort to minimise the use of paper and to streamline
and improve our services Newcross can provide a paperless
booking, timesheet and invoicing system. Free of charge
and with no minimum usage contracts the environment benefits
from the savings in paper, postage, printing and storage.
