We’re delighted to announce that our charity of the year is the amazing Make-A-Wish UK who grant life-changing wishes for children living with critical illness. It’s a charity close to our hearts!
Through this new partnership, Newcross will help to grant wishes for these children, before it’s too late. We’ll be supporting the fantastic work Make-A-Wish UK do through fundraising and donating towards our company total.
A Disney Wish
Our amazing Relationship Executive, Hannah Whittaker, volunteered her time at A Disney Wish - a unique wish experience for seriously ill children, curated by Make-A-Wish UK, The Walt Disney Company and Kentown Wizard Foundation, right here in the UK.
Speaking about her experience, Hannah said:
“I have made memories which will last a lifetime. The courage, excitement and pure love the children showed, well, it just left me speechless! I don't think I can put into words just how much those special moments meant to everyone involved.”

Damien’s charity challenge
Damien Briscoe, our fabulous Director of NHS Operations, has taken on the mammoth task of running every day throughout 2023 to raise money for our Make-A-Wish partnership.
We caught up with him at day 225 where he’s averaged six miles a day with 170,000 feet of climb - the equivalent of climbing Mount Everest six times from sea level!
On the 7th of October, Damien will be attempting The Bob Graham Round; a 66 mile race of the Lake District fells which has to be completed in under 24 hours! When asked about the challenge, Damien said, “This will probably be the hardest thing I attempt in my life and I really hope I can raise enough money to make a difference to someone else’s!”
