Newcross Healthcare are recruiting for experienced Care Assistants and Senior Care Assistants to provide outstanding care and support to our service users within Southend-on-Sea, Rayleigh and the surrounding local areas.

Care Assistant Role

As a Care Assistant, your tasks could include; dressing, washing, toileting and enabling service users to live their daily lives as they wish.

You will be playing an important role in enabling our service users to live fulfilling lives, engaging in their favourite activities and interacting with their families, visitors and other residents.

In this position, you will also communicate with families of our service users to apprise them of their condition and progress, and can earn a salary of up to £11.78 per hour including holiday pay.

Senior Care Assistant Role

As a Senior Care Assistant, you will be responsible for a team of carers and have extensive knowledge and additional responsibilities to that of a Care Assistant.

Our ideal candidate will be a dedicated and compassionate healthcare professional who will uphold our philosophy of excellent care with a focus on personal care plans to aid in improving the lives of our service users.

In this role, you will be compassionate and confident, and can earn up to £14.26 per hour including holiday pay.

It is essential that you have a NVQ3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care to be successful in your application.

Minimum Requirements

  • The right to live and work in the UK
  • At least 3 months' previous care experience in a similar role or environment
  • Certification in a practical Moving and Handling course completed within the last 12 months
  • Referee contact details to validate your previous clinical experience
  • You will need access to a smartphone or device, iPhone (5s or later), iPad or iPod touch compatible with IOS 8.0 (or later) or Android device with a 4.3 operating system (or later), with internet access to manage your rotas and submit your timesheets via our mobile app HealthForceGo
  • Access to your own vehicle is desirable, but is not mandatory
