Epitomising Excellence

Newcross champions healthcare heroes. We recognise our home grown talent and the impact you have on our service user's quality of care. Throughout the year we celebrate your achievements with our Excellence in Healthcare and Complex Care Awards.

Our Canterbury Branch was home to last quarter's Excellence in Healthcare's Winner, Laura Tweed. A dedicated, hardworking and extremely reliable Healthcare Assistant, Laura goes above and beyond every day. Laura was presented her award by Bev Du Plessis, Canterbury Branch Manager, and Healthcare Coordinators, Harriet Hanson and Stacie Lees.

Bev stated, "Laura epitomises the perfect employee and carer. She mixes really well, gets on with everyone, is proactive and embodies the ethos of Newcross. Laura is intelligent, and understands the workings of the industry, whilst being caring and compassionate. Laura is a true gem and an asset to our organisation!"

At our Bournemouth Complex Care Branch, Floyd Robinson, one of our wonderful Healthcare Assistants, was selected as the winner. On receiving his award Floyd commented, "I was quite surprised because the quality of the staff teams I work in are so high, I didn't think I would have a chance."  When asked what advice he would give to those in the care sector Floyd stated, "Make sure you are flexible and not judgemental. Nothing will ever shock you!"
