We’re actively seeking an experienced Care Assistant to join our team in Gloucester, Cheltenham, Cirencester and the surrounding areas of Gloucestershire, encouraging our service users to live a rich, independent life. In this role, you’ll work as part of a close-knit, collaborative health and social care team, delivering care in the home. You’ll follow each individual’s care plan, playing a key role in supporting them with personal care tasks, medication support, posture care, clinical needs, feeding and PEG care, social activities and any other services needed.

Full-time and part-time hours.

Shift patterns: 8am-1pm, 5pm-10pm and long days 09:00-21:00 or 08.00-20:00.

What we offer

  • An hourly rate of up to £17.67, including holiday pay

  • Fixed hours on a rota basis
  • An immersive learning experience through Newcross World, our app-based training platform
  • Access to NHS registered GPs and mental health support with virtual appointments
  • Free DBS and uniform

Enjoy Flexi Pay!

With Flexi Pay you have the option to immediately withdraw up to 50% of the value of your completed shifts, even on weekends and bank holidays! This exclusive perk is available through our HealthForceGo app.

What we're looking for

To apply for this rewarding role, you will need to have a minimum of 3 months of experience in a professional care setting or caring for a loved one. This will ensure you have an emotional and clinical understanding of what it takes to deliver home care. You may need to assist clients with limited mobility, however, if you do not have a valid Moving and Handling certificate, we can provide relevant training modules for you to complete in the induction process.

Access to your own vehicle is desirable and the right to work in the UK is essential.

Please note: To work in a care home in England from 11 November 2021, the post holder is required to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 unless clinically exempt
