Do you have experience of caring for individuals with complex needs?

At Newcross Healthcare, we are currently recruiting a Male Care Assistant to join our dedicated health and social care team in Hereford and the surrounding area. In this role, you'll be delivering quality care within the home of a male service user living with muscular dystrophy. Your various duties will include assisting with personal care, preparing meals, supporting him while he eats and providing additional support with daily living activities within the home.

Hours include 12:30pm-19:30pm Mon-Friday. This role is for support during half terms throughout the year.

Do you meet the requirements?

To apply for this rewarding role, you will need to have a minimum of 3 months experience in a professional care setting or caring for a loved one. This will ensure you have an emotional and clinical understanding of what it takes to deliver home care. You may need to assist clients with limited mobility, however, if you do not have a valid Moving and Handling certificate, we can provide relevant training modules for you to complete in the induction process. Access to your own vehicle is desirable but not required, and the right to work in the UK is essential.

Please note: To work in a care home in England from 11 November 2021, the post holder is required to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 unless clinically exempt.
