As a Care Assistant in Worcester and the surrounding area, you’ll play a vital role in safeguarding and supporting the vulnerable people in your local community during these unprecedented times. In this role, you'll join a close-knit team of health and social care professionals to follow care plans and aid service users with personal care tasks, medication support, clinical needs, posture care, feeding and PEG care, meal preparation, social activities and any additional services required.
Complex care roles with Newcross provide you with a unique chance to take on new responsibilities and receive specialist clinical training in areas such as PEG feeding and tracheostomy care.
Opportunities are available for staff to work long days, or morning and afternoon shifts as part of a 1:1 and 2:1 package of care.
Skills and experience required
To apply for this rewarding role, you will need a minimum of 3 months of experience in a professional care setting or caring for a loved one. This will ensure you have an emotional and clinical understanding of what it takes to deliver home care. You may need to assist clients with limited mobility and will need a valid Moving and Handling certificate. Access to your own vehicle is desirable but not required. The right to work in the UK is mandatory.
