We’re actively seeking an experienced Care Assistant to join our team in Coventry and the surroundings, encouraging our service users to live a rich, independent life. In this role, you will be providing 1:1 care and 2:1 in the homes of service users living with complex healthcare needs. You’ll work as part of a close-knit, collaborative health and social care team to follow each individual’s care plan and assist with a range of daily tasks. Your responsibilities will include supporting with moving and handling, personal care tasks, clinical needs, medication administration, epilepsy management, PEG care, emergency medication administration, household tasks, social activities and accessing the community.

Minimum shift time of 6 hours in one location.

Here's what you'll need

We require all complex care workers to have a minimum of 3 months of experience in a professional care setting or caring for a loved one. You’ll need to be a real people person and always be willing to go the extra mile to ensure the best possible outcomes are met. You’ll need a valid Moving and Handling certificate and the right to work in the UK. Access to your own vehicle is desirable.

Although the locations are specified, we cannot guarantee all work in one area so travel may be required.

Please note: To work in a care home in England from 11 November 2021, the post holder is required to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 unless clinically exempt.
