Job description

Are you proud to care?

We’re seeking professional Female Care Assistants to join our team in Lanivet, Bodmin and the surrounds, delivering quality care in the home. This role involves working as part of a small team of health and social care professionals to support people with day-to-day activities, in line with their individual care plans. You'll be aiding with personal care tasks, making up beds, posture care, feeding and PEG care, clinical requirements, social activities and any other services needed. Specialist training will be given, tailored to the packages of care you work on, so this is a great chance to upskill in new areas.

It is highly desirable that you have previous experience of aiding service users with dementia. As part of this role, you'll be working from 08:00 to 13:30 over a period of 7 days.

Benefits include

  • An hourly rate of up to £10.43, including holiday pay
  • Get paid as soon as you finish a shift with instant Flexi Pay
  • Fixed hours on a rota basis
  • Free uniform and DBS check
  • Introduce a Friend - Receive up to £500 when you introduce a friend or family member
  • An immersive learning experience through Newcross World, our app-based training platform
  • Access to NHS registered GPs and mental health support to avoid waiting for NHS appointments

About you

We require all complex care workers to have around 3 months of experience in a professional care setting or caring for a loved one. You’ll need to be a real people person and always be willing to go the extra mile to ensure the best possible outcomes are met.

You’ll need to be happy assisting clients who may have limited mobility, however, if you do not have a valid Moving and Handling certificate, we can provide relevant training modules for you to complete in the induction process. Access to your own vehicle is desirable, and the right to work in the UK is required.

Please note: To work in a care home in England from 11 November 2021, the post holder is required to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 unless clinically exempt.

What is Flexi Pay?

Healthcare staff can instantly withdraw up to 50% of the value of their shifts even on weekends and bank holidays. Simply submit your timesheets through our exclusive app.
