Job description

At Newcross Healthcare, we’re transforming home care across the UK. Be a part of it!

We’re actively seeking an experienced Care Assistant to join our team in Exmouth, Budleigh Salterton, Cullompton, Crediton, Okehampton and the surrounding areas, encouraging our service users to live a rich, independent life. In this role, you’ll work as part of a close-knit, collaborative health and social care team, delivering care in the home. You’ll follow each individual’s care plan, playing a key role in supporting them with personal care tasks, clinical needs, feeding and PEG care and any additional services required. Without support from people like you, these individuals may live a life in specialist units or hospitals, rather than in their own home.

Why join Newcross?

  • An hourly rate of up to £13.47 per hour
  • Instant pay with Flexi Pay
  • Flexible working hours to suit your lifestyle
  • Access to Newcross World, our app-based training platform
  • Exclusive access to appointments with NHS-registered GPs and mental health support through an employee perks scheme
  • Free DBS and uniform

Enjoy Flexi Pay!

Get instant access to up to 50% of the value of your completed shifts with Flexi Pay (includes bank holidays and weekends)! This exclusive perk is available on our app, HealthForceGo.

Before you apply, please ensure you meet the below criteria

You’ll be an empathetic and compassionate Care Assistant, with at least 3 months of experience caring professionally or for a loved one. You’ll be comfortable assisting clients with limited mobility and will hold a valid Moving and Handling certificate. You’ll be fuelled by your desire to make a real difference in the lives of people in need. The right to work in the UK is essential. Access to your own vehicle is desirable but not required.

Please note: To work in a care home in England from 11 November 2021, the post holder is required to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 unless clinically exempt.
