Role requirements

As a Community Support Worker  you’ll have an ability to provide care delivered with compassion and enthusiasm, while contributing positively to an individual’s physical and emotional wellbeing. You’ll need:

  • At least 3 months experience of caring professionally or for a loved one in the UK
  • The ability to comfortably assist clients with limited mobility
  • A valid Moving and Handling certificate
  • The right to work in the UK

In this rewarding Community Support Worker role, you will be caring for an 18-year-old female service user diagnosed with Quadriplegia (dystonic) Cerebral Palsy and mild learning difficulties. She lives at home with her parents and attends college during the week (Mon-Fri 9am-3pm). You will be required to transport her to and from college using her own mobility car.

Our service user is a creative, bubbly and outgoing individual. She is very headstrong and is determined to achieve the very best for herself. Her hobbies include arts and crafts, music, getting her hair, nails and make-up done, going to social events, shopping and spending time with her family.

Shift patterns: Monday to Friday (08:00 - 14:00) and (14:00 - 18:00). Saturday and Sunday (14:00 till 18:00).
