Make a difference to an individual's life

In this role, you will be providing 2:1 care for a young male service user living with complex healthcare conditions including Cerebral Palsy, Severe Learning Difficulties, Epilepsy, Quadriplegia, registered Blind and Aspiration Events.

This young man has been identified with very complex health needs. His needs can fluctuate throughout the day and he relies on others to anticipate and meet his physical, emotional, psychological and social needs at all times. He enjoys being in an active environment, listening to music, participating in sensory activities and going out on trips.

Shifts: Days (08:00–20.00) and waking nights (20.00-08.00).

As a Community Support Worker you’ll bring

You have an ability to develop relationships with people and are adept at managing challenging situations. You combine a good knowledge of equipment and a talent for dealing with the specific circumstances and needs of each individual’s life.

  • Passion, patience and understanding
  • A desire to make a real difference to the lives of people in need.
  • At least 3 months experience of caring professionally or for a loved one in the UK
  • Comfortable assisting clients with limited mobility
  • A valid Moving and Handling certificate.
  • The right to work in the UK
