Joining Newcross as a Support Worker in Bridgwater and the surrounding areas, you’ll take the variety and challenges that every day brings in your stride, with a positive mental attitude and brilliant sense of humour. Keen to build lasting relationships with service users and their families while you provide support for them within their own home, you’ll be on hand to help with a variety of tasks. You'll join a small health and social care team to support children with clinical needs, personal care tasks, making up beds, feeding and PEG care, social activities and any additional services required.

Shift patterns: Monday to Friday from 8am to 4:30pm with more flexibility available during the school holidays.

What we're looking for

We require all complex care workers to have at least 3 months of experience in a professional care setting or caring for a loved one. You’ll need to be a real people person and always be willing to go the extra mile to ensure the best possible outcomes are met. You will need a valid certificate in Moving and Handling and the right to work in the UK. Access to your own vehicle is desirable but not essential.

Please note: To work in a care home in England from 11 November 2021, the post holder is required to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 unless clinically exempt.
