We’re seeking a Support Worker to deliver personalised care in the home in the Tavistock area. In this role, you'll join health and social care professionals working in the homes of our service users with autism, learning difficulties and cerebral palsy. Your day-to-day role will include assisting with complex healthcare tasks, personal care, medication administration, trips into the community, social activities and any additional services required.
This role includes day and night shifts.
Experience in medication administration and caring for people with autism is desirable.
You’ll have a minimum of 3 months experience of caring professionally or for a loved one, a valid certificate in Moving and Handling and the right to live and work in the UK. We also expect you to demonstrate our core values of positivity, trustworthiness, respectfulness, understanding, kindness, and calmness on every shift. Passion and determination to bring comfort and joy to our service users is a must. Access to your own vehicle is required.
Please note: To work in a care home in England from 11 November 2021, the post holder is required to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19 unless clinically exempt.
