Jobs boost as Newcross opens 40th branch in Ashford
Newcross Healthcare has recently celebrated the opening of its latest branch in Ashford Kent. Located at 46 the High Street, this becomes the 3rd branch for the company in the local area which also has branches in Canterbury and Royal Tunbridge Wells.
The Ashford opening was extra special for all involved as it also marked the 40th branch for the rapidly expanding Nationwide business. The company grew its workforce by 41% in the past year and is expecting to continue that growth throughout 2015 and 2016.
For the local Ashford economy that will mean a jobs boost of up to 100 healthcare assistants, nurses and support workers, with more positions created as the business grows over the coming months. Having seen recent fluctuations in employment levels across the region, this growth is expected to be a welcome opportunity for local healthcare staff to find permanent employment.
Newcross has a reputation for providing an excellent standard of personalised care through employees that are permanently employed, fully trained and have a genuine commitment to the role. They take pride in the quality and standard of care provided by their staff and therefore apply robust recruitment procedures to ensure that only the highest calibre individuals are employed.
All Newcross employees are offered permanent, flexible employment contracts, allowing them to be fully in control of their working routine. Regular training is offered, allowing staff to develop their skills and expand their knowledge.
Operations Director, Geoff White said: “As a company we are already committed to Kent as a region. The regeneration plan for the local Ashford area is both an indication of the potential for growth in the area and an opportunity for new business and job creation. We are delighted to launch our 40th branch here and to be part of that success.”
Branch Manager, Lahra Thwaite-Benn said: “The demand we’ve experienced for our services in the local area has been fantastic. I am very much looking forward to recruiting our new healthcare and nursing team members to fulfil this demand.”
