Newcross Healthcare is a national, established organisation that truly believes in the importance of person-centred care. We're recruiting for dedicated Care Assistants to deliver care in the home for individuals in Barry and the surrounding areas of the Vale of Glamorgan. This is a unique opportunity to become part of a small team, working on a package of care and building positive relationships with the service user and their family.

We want you to join us!

We're actively seeking experienced Care Assistants to join our team in Barry and the surrounding areas of the Vale of Glamorgan, encouraging our service users to live a rich, independent life. You'll be aiding service users with personal care tasks, meal preparation, clinical needs, posture care, social activities and any other services required.

In this role, you'll work as part of a close-knit, collaborative team, delivering care in the home. Without support from people like you, these individuals may live a life in specialist units or hospitals, rather than in their own home.

Flexi Pay!

Flexi Pay enables our healthcare staff to instantly withdraw up to 50% of the value of your existing shifts even on weekends and bank holidays! All you need to do is submit your timesheets through our app.

Newcross perks

  • An hourly rate of up to £15.56, including holiday pay
  • Get paid as soon as you finish a shift with instant Flexi Pay
  • Fixed hours on a rota basis
  • Free training opportunities
  • Access to virtual appointments with NHS registered GPs and mental health support
  • Face to face and telephone counselling to help you when life gets tough

What we require

You'll be an empathetic and compassionate caregiver, with experience of caring professionally or for a loved one. You'll be comfortable assisting clients with limited mobility, and with a valid Moving and Handling certificate. You'll be fuelled by your desire to make a real difference to the lives of people in need. Access to your own vehicle is desirable but not required.

You'll need to have a driving licence as our service users reside in rural locations and there will be a need to transport them.

Apply now and you can start within a week!
