Newcross Healthcare is a national, established organisation that truly believes in the importance of person-centred care. We're recruiting for dedicated Care Assistants to deliver care in the home for individuals in Cambridge, Saffron Walden and the surrounds. This is a unique opportunity to become part of a small team, working on a package of care and building positive relationships with the service user and their family.

Is building meaningful and lasting relationships with the people you care for important to you?

As a Care Assistant in Cambridge, Saffron Walden and the surrounds, you'll be the person that brings smiles to the faces of the people in our care. This role is a chance to make a real difference to people's lives - without your support, they may live a life constrained to specialist units or hospitals.

Your duties will vary, including aiding with personal care, feeding and PEG care, meal preparation, posture care, clinical needs, social activities and any other services required. You'll work as part of a small team of health and social care workers in the homes of our clients.

Flexi Pay!

Flexi Pay gives you the chance to instantly access up to 50% of the value of your existing shifts even on weekends and bank holidays. All you simply need to do is submit your timesheets through our innovative app.

What you'll gain

  • An hourly rate of up to £15.54, including holiday pay
  • Take control of when you get paid with instant Flexi Pay
  • Fixed hours on a rota basis
  • Free, ongoing clinical training
  • Access to NHS registered GPs and mental health support with virtual appointments

Could you be our next care-giving champion?

You'll already have a minimum of 3 months experience under your belt and hold a valid Moving and Handling certificate. We do also accept candidates with experience of caring for a loved one. The right to work in the UK is a must. As well as excellence in care, we also need you to demonstrate our core values of positivity, trustworthiness, respectfulness, understanding, kindness, and calmness on every shift.

It is essential that you are a driver and have prior paid experience in care for this role.
