Care Assistant - Children

As a Female Care Assistants in Exeter and the surrounds, you'll be the person that brings smiles to the faces of the people in our care. This role is a chance to make a real difference to people's lives - without your support, they may live a life constrained to specialist units or hospitals.
Your duties will vary, including assisting service users with their food and drink, medication administration, clinical needs, social activities and any other services required. You'll work as part of a small team of health and social care professionals in the homes of our clients.
We require all complex care workers to have around 3 months of experience in a professional care setting or caring for a loved one. You'll need to be a real people person and always be willing to go the extra mile to ensure the best possible outcomes are met.
You'll need to be happy assisting clients who may have limited mobility, however, if you do not have a valid Moving and Handling certificate, we can provide relevant training modules for you to complete in the induction process. Access to your own vehicle is desirable but not required, as is the right to work in the UK.

Our service user
Our service user is a boy with a range of complex requirements younger than 10 years old. You'll be supporting with his tracheostomy and monitoring him for seizures at night whilst making sure that all seizure and MAR are accurately completed.
