We're actively seeking Care Assistants to join our team in the Isle of Wight, encouraging our service users to live a rich, independent life. This is a unique opportunity to work as part of a team on specific care packages on a regular basis. Whether you have some professional care experience, or have cared for a loved one or friend, we want to hear from you.

Are you ready to play your part in the national care effort?

As a Care Assistant in Ryde, Freshwater, Sandown, Newport, Cowes and the surrounding areas on the Isle of Wight, you'll be the person that brings smiles to the faces of the people in our care. This role is a chance to make a real difference to people's lives - without your support, they may live a life constrained to specialist units or hospitals. This position is suitable for all ages and levels of experience.

Your duties will vary, including anything from assisting residents with their food and drink, personal care tasks, clinical requirements, medication support, following care plans and getting them involved in social activities. You'll work as part of a small team of health and social care workers in the homes of our clients.

The perks

  • An hourly rate of up to £16.24, including holiday pay
  • Get paid as soon as you finish a shift with instant Flexi Pay
  • Fixed hours on a rota basis
  • Free, ongoing clinical training
  • Access to NHS registered GPs and mental health support with virtual appointments

Flexi Pay!

Healthcare staff can instantly withdraw an advance of up to 50% of the value of their existing shifts even on weekends and bank holidays! All you need to do is submit your timesheets through our HealthForceGo® app.

About you

You'll already have a minimum of 3 months experience under your belt and hold a valid Moving and Handling certificate. We do also accept candidates with experience of caring for a loved one. The right to work in the UK is a must. You'll happily support clients with limited mobility for this role. As well as excellence in care, we also need you to demonstrate our core values of positivity, trustworthiness, respectfulness, understanding, kindness, and calmness on every shift.

Like what you see? Joining Newcross has many benefits. You'll be working for one of the UK's leading independent healthcare providers and joining a supportive community of like-minded individuals who love nothing more than helping others.
