Join Newcross as a Care Assistant in the Portsmouth area, delivering the highest standard of care in the home to children and young adults. You'll be the person that brings smiles to the faces of the people in our care. Your varying duties will include assisting service users with their food and drink, following care plans and getting them involved in social activities. You'll work as part of a small health and social care team in the homes of our clients.
Further opportunities are available for applicants to assist service users with Cerebral Palsy, Multiple Sclerosis, PEG Feeding, Tracheostomy Care, Challenging Behaviour, Spinal Injuries, Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), Ventilated Care and Muscular Dystrophy.
What you'll need
We're looking for passionate caregivers with experience of caring professionally or for a loved one and with a valid certificate in Moving and Handling. We also expect you to demonstrate our core values of positivity, trustworthiness, respectfulness, understanding, kindness, and calmness on every shift. Passion and determination to bring comfort and joy to our service users is a must.
You will need a smart device with an internet connection to use our bespoke app, HealthForceGo. The right to work in the UK is a must, and access to your own vehicle would be beneficial.
