At Newcross Healthcare, we believe that everyone has the right to the highest quality of care in the home when they need it. We're looking for those special people with experience of care work, either on a professional or personal level, who are passionate about helping individuals live their lives to the fullest. We're seeking Male Care Assistants to deliver personalised care in the home in Freshwater, Totland and the surrounds.

Do you want to make a difference to the lives of individuals with complex healthcare needs?

As a Male Care Assistant in Freshwater, Totland and the surrounding areas, you'll be the person that brings smiles to the faces of the people in our care. This role is a chance to make a real difference to people's lives - without your support, they may live a life constrained to specialist units or hospitals.

Your duties will vary, including assisting with physio exercises, personal care, specialised food and drink preparation, medication administration, escorting to appointments, stoma and catheter care and gardening activities. You'll work as part of a small team in the homes of our clients.

Perks at Newcross

  • A competitive pay package of £10.91 per hour, including holiday pay
  • A facility to instantly withdraw your pay
  • Fixed hours on a rota basis
  • Free ongoing learning and development to take your career where you go
  • Access to NHS registered GPs and mental health support to avoid waiting for NHS appointments

Flexi Pay!

Have the option to immediately withdraw up to 50% of the value of your existing shifts after completing them (even on weekends and bank holidays). Simply submit your timesheets via our handy app, HealthForceGo, to gain access to this exclusive perk!

Role requirements

You'll be an empathetic and compassionate caregiver with at least 3 months of experience caring professionally or for a loved one. You'll be comfortable assisting clients with limited mobility and hold a valid Moving and Handling certificate. You'll be fuelled by your desire to make a real difference to the lives of people in need. You must have the right to work in the UK. Access to your own vehicle is desirable but not required.

Our ideal applicant will have experience supporting service users with MS, stoma and catheter care, personal care, food preparation and physiotherapy.
