Newcross Healthcare is a national, established organisation that truly believes in the importance of person-centred care. We're recruiting for dedicated Female Care Assistant to deliver care in the home for individuals in Winscombe, Weston-super-Mare and the surrounds. This is a unique opportunity to become part of a small team, working on a package of care and building positive relationships with the service user and their family.

At Newcross, we're leading the revolution in personalised home care. Join us.

As a Female Care Assistant in Winscombe, Weston-super-Mare and the surrounds, you'll be well-practiced at multitasking and enjoy the variety of tasks that come with delivering care in the home. You'll be supporting our service users with Airway Management, clinical requirements, End of Life Care, PEG, social activities and any other services needed. With your help, the people in your care can continue living in their own home, rather than living away from their loved ones in a specialist unit.

Shifts for this role include 12 hour days and 12 hour nights.

Perks of joining us

  • An hourly rate of up to £13.08, including holiday pay
  • The ability to get paid instantly
  • Fixed hours on a rota basis
  • Free training opportunities to specialise in areas of your choosing
  • Access to appointments with NHS-registered GPs through a Virtual GP app
  • Face to face and telephone counselling to help you when life gets tough

Flexi Pay!

You are able to choose when you get paid with Flexi Pay! All you need to do is submit your timesheets through our HealthForceGo® app and you'll gain instant access to up to 50% of the value of your existing shifts even on weekends and bank holidays.

About you

With at least 3 months of professional experience, or experience of caring for a loved one, you'll be well-placed to apply. You'll need a valid Moving and Handling certificate and feel comfortable helping service users with limited mobility. The right to work in the UK is a requirement. In addition to your caregiving experience, you should be able to demonstrate occasions where you have exhibited our core values of positivity, trustworthiness, respectfulness, understanding, kindness, and calmness. We'll expect you to uphold these values when on shift. Access to your own vehicle would be beneficial, but is not a requirement.
