In-house General Legal Counsel
This is a not to be missed opportunity for an experienced, results focused In-house Lawyer to join our market leading, ambitious and expanding healthcare business as our General Legal Counsel. This newly created role within our Senior Management team will give you the opportunity to become our in-house legal expert, supporting across all areas of our fast paced and dynamic business, playing a key role in our continued success.
General Legal Counsel
Remote/ home based, location flexible within travelling distance of Bristol/ South West.
Basic salary Circa £70,000 to £90,000 (DOE) + 10% annual company bonus

The Senior Legal Counsel will play a key role in the success of the business by supporting our Corporate governance, contract review and regulatory compliance as well as providing expert legal support and advice across all areas of the business.
Over time, as the business grows, you will have the opportunity to build, develop and manage a best in class in-house legal function.
You will interface with Functional Leaders throughout the business on a regular basis and work closely with our Board of Directors, immersing yourself in the culture of Newcross and being on-board with the direction and ambition of the business.
You will provide support and advice in area's such as:
- Corporate structure (including overseas holding company), support related tax, regulatory and commercial planning
- Statutory filing requirements
- Regulatory compliance
- Review and drafting of contracts for multiple business areas
- Employment law
- Laws governing the supply of health care staff
- Data privacy and protection
- Company litigation including those related to credit control matters
- Legal, regulatory and legislative changes that could impact the business
- Intellectual property
A fully qualified (UK) lawyer with 5 year's+ PQE, you will have broad experience within Commerical, Litigation and Employment law gained as an in-house Lawyer. Able to demonstrate a detailed knowledge of commercial and employment related work, good technical proficiency and strong attention to detail. Experience gained within the healthcare or recruitment sectors would be highly advantageous.
Highly credible with excellent written and verbal communication skills enabling you to command the respect and full cooperation of staff within the operational units you're working with.
You will need to be at home working within a fast paced, high performance culture, able to manage multiple and varying priorities, motivated to meet goals and deadlines whilst ensuring good quality in every aspect of your work.
