Our recruitment process

Our rigorous recruitment process means that we hire only the very best healthcare staff. We look for candidates to demonstrate their clinical knowledge, but also that they exhibit our core values of trust, empathy and expertise.

We've streamlined our recruitment process, fast-tracking a 5 day turnaround from application to working a shift, to offer immediate employment and support our clients in the national care crisis at this time. This process is entirely virtual, so there’s no need for you to come into the branch, but we’ll support you every step of the way.

 

Application form

It all starts with our application form. This form is quick, easy and secure. We ask for your contact details, previous work experience and contacts for references.

Following this, we will ask you for additional details such as your clothes size for our uniforms and to upload a photo for your ID badge.

Form

Initial screening

We then review your application and make a judgement on your suitability for the role, based on your past experience, qualifications and your desire to care for service users. For nurses, we will confirm that you have a valid PIN. At this point, if we require further information, our Central Recruitment team will contact you.

References and checks

If the screening stage is successful, we proceed to immediately contact your references, to allow for our fast-tracked recruitment process. It would be beneficial if you could let your referees know that we will discuss your application with them, so they can be available. We also carry out full DBS/PVG checks at this stage to ensure that you are able to work in a care setting.

Virtual video interview

Pending successful referencing and checks, the next stage involves an in-depth interview with the Business Center Manager from your local branch, or a Team Leader. You’ll need to demonstrate your clinical knowledge, aptitude for the role and passion for care. Nurses are taken through a specific skills checklist.

Introductory training

Thanks to our investment in the digitalisation of our new starter training and induction materials, you can complete them from the comfort of home through our online learning platform.

Before you start with us, if you do not have a valid Moving and Handling certificate, you’ll need to complete those modules online. You will also need to sit the ‘Virtual Shift’, our innovative, scenario-based test which places you in a virtual care setting and assesses your knowledge and decision-making skills. This will also indicate areas that you need extra support with.
