Predominantly home based, ideally commutable to Totnes for team connections

We are looking for an enthusiastic, determined and driven individual to join our fast paced Credit Control team. With your exceptional communication skills you will engage effectively with a wide range of clients, including commercial organisations, local authorities and the NHS to ensure invoices are settled within agreed payment terms.
Using persistence and a firm but professional approach to recover debt which has gone beyond payment terms with the goal of reducing debtor days and bringing down the amount of aged debt.
Your natural pace is full speed, highly target driven and motivated by exceeding expectations, taking a proactive, solution-based approach to tackling problems which stand in the way of achieving results.
You understand that speed shouldn't come at the cost of accuracy though and you are able to comfortably achieve both, updating records as you work and providing regular updates on management of debt.

- Proven experience of reducing aged debt and meeting or exceeding set targets
- Strong IT skills and excellent attention to detail
- Experience of local authority collections would be highly advantageous
- A confident and professional telephone manner
- Strong numeracy and data analysis skills
- Ability to work well and maintain accuracy whilst under pressure
- A strong work ethic and genuine desire to grow and develop
- A great team player, keen to support and guide less experienced team members
