Support Worker - Children
At Newcross, we're transforming home care across the UK
As a Support Worker in Bridgwater, you'll be providing support and assistance to enable the people in your care to live their life and make the most of each day, within their own home. You'll be administering school support to a child with Tracheostomy, Epilepsy and Ventilation.
Your duties will be varied, with some healthcare support needed, while you may also be required to assist with trips out in the community, shopping, social activities, appointments and day-to-day tasks such as money management and dressing.
You'll be completing shifts from Monday to Fridays from 8am to 4:30pm with more flexibility during the school holidays.
- An hourly rate of up to £10.46, including holiday pay
- Get paid instantly with Flexi Pay
- Fixed hours on a rota basis
- Free, ongoing clinical training
- Access to NHS registered GPs and mental health support with virtual appointments
With at least 3 months of professional experience, or experience of caring for a loved one, you'll be well-placed to apply. You'll need a valid Moving and Handling certificate and feel comfortable helping service users with limited mobility. The right to work in the UK is a requirement. In addition to your caregiving experience, you should be able to demonstrate occasions where you have exhibited our core values of positivity, trustworthiness, respectfulness, understanding, kindness, and calmness. We'll expect you to uphold these values when on shift. Access to your own vehicle would be beneficial, but is not a requirement.
Our new and innovative app feature Flexi Pay allows our healthcare staff to gain instant access to an advance of up to 50% of the value of their existing shifts even on weekends and bank holidays!
