Support Worker - Children
Make a difference to someone's life today!
We're actively seeking experienced Support Workers to join our team in Taunton, Wellington, Bridgwater and the surrounding areas of Somerset, encouraging children to live a rich, independent life. In this role, you'll work as part of a close-knit, collaborative team, delivering care in the home. Without support from people like you, these individuals may live a life in specialist units or hospitals, rather than in their own home.
You'll follow each individual's care plan, playing a key role in supporting them with daily tasks like personal care, posture care, medication support, feeding and PEG care, social activities and any other services needed. You'll receive specialist training, tailored to the package of care you're assigned to.
We require all complex care workers to have around 3 months of experience in a professional care setting or caring for a loved one. You'll need to be a real people person and always be willing to go the extra mile to ensure the best possible outcomes are met.
You'll need to be happy assisting clients who may have limited mobility, however, if you do not have a valid Moving and Handling certificate, we can provide relevant training modules for you to complete in the induction process. Access to your own vehicle is desirable but not required, as is the right to work in the UK.
Flexi Pay gives you the freedom to choose when you get paid! Simply submit your timesheets through our HealthForceGo® app and you'll be able to instantly withdraw up to 50% of the value of your existing shifts even on weekends and bank holidays.
- A competitive remuneration of £14.46 per hour, including holiday pay
- A facility to instantly withdraw your pay
- Fixed hours on a rota basis
- Free, ongoing clinical training
- Access to NHS registered GPs and mental health support with virtual appointments
