Become an invaluable companion to people in need
As a Support Worker in Plymouth and the surrounds, you'll be working as part of a small, close-knit team, supporting the people in your care to live an independent life in their own home. Your duties will include assisting with personal care tasks, posture care, feeding and PEG care, clinical needs, meal preparation, clinical needs and social activities. You'll work as part of a team of health and social care workers.
The ideal applicant will have prior experience of assisting service users in paediatric care, autism, challenging behaviour and de-escalation.
With at least 3 months of professional experience, or experience of caring for a loved one, you'll be well-placed to apply. You'll need a valid Moving and Handling certificate and feel comfortable helping service users with limited mobility. The right to work in the UK is a requirement.
