Newcross Healthcare are looking for Care Assistants have experience of working with service users living with learning disabilities and challenging behaviour in Taunton, Langport, Wellington, Ilminster, Somerton and the surrounding areas.

The branch is located on Staplegrove Road, close to Taunton train station and is a short drive from Musgrove Hospital.

What does a healthcare assistant do?

The role of a healthcare assistant is multifaceted, you will be supporting our residents during their daily activities and providing information to service users and their loved ones.

Flexi Pay! Submit your timesheets by 5pm and be paid up to 50% of the value of your shift within a matter of hours, (includes weekends and bank holidays).

What you'll need to succeed

  • The right to live and work in the UK
  • At least 3 months' previous care experience
  • Certification in a practical Moving and Handling course in the last 12 months
  • Have access to a smart device, with internet access to manage your rotas
  • Access to your own vehicle is desirable, but not mandatory
