New Adventure for 'Explorers'
The Learning and Development team have been spending the winter months reviewing and updating its offering so we are better able to meet the evolving needs of our growing organisation.
Our office staff will already be experiencing these updates with the new induction process, where all new starters will now attend a one day induction at Head Office, and then follow on with a series of remote systems training sessions and systems driving test to sign off completion of the induction programme.
This is the first step towards our Learning and Development vision, for each role to have a clear and compelling development pathway, from the very first day. Whatever role, however long staff have been here, there will be a development opportunity that will improve their performance and enhance their career opportunities.
We are introducing a new range of development programmes to help our Office based staff grow and develop under the banner of the new Newcross Academy.
Over the coming months we will be sharing more information and exciting developments about the Academy and what it can offer. The first programme was launched last week with our new Team Leader Development Programme, now known as the Explorer programme.
The Explorers can be seen here getting to know each other and raising their own level of self-awareness.
Our fabulous new Explorers are Carol Cabrita, Dave Peddie, Rowena Mann, Louise Greig, Grace Barbour, Emma Carter, Becci Buck, Lorna Punter, Lynden Griffiths and Ashley Cooper.
Together, they’ll be raising their awareness and developing the key skills required to lead others. The Explorer programme utilises a variety of different methods for developing these skills including co-mentoring, coaching from our new Management Development Specialist, Ole Dodwell, masterclasses from our very own Directors and delivering learning blogs, which we will be sharing with everyone in Newcross.
