Newcross donates to Rowcroft Hospice following theft
Newcross Healthcare, which specialises in supplying top-quality healthcare staff for public, private and individual clients, is donating £250 to Rowcroft Hospice. Team members at Newcross’ Torbay branch have previously worked with the hospice so were keen to donate after hearing the news of the collection theft on Tuesday from Rowcroft’s Paignton charity shop. Newcross Healthcare was first founded in Torbay in 1996 and has grown to be a nationwide company with over 30 branches throughout the UK.

Shabnam Dooley, Trainee Business Centre Manager for Torbay said: “We were absolutely shocked that someone would be heartless enough to break in to the Rowcroft shop and steal the charity collection. Rowcroft does great work in the local area, even before the break in we were keen to support the charity by signing the team up to take part in the annual Sleep Walk event.”
Jessica Goodwin, Events Co-ordinator from Rowcroft Hospice said: “We are so grateful for the support of Newcross Healthcare and would like to thank them dearly for their very generous donation.”
Newcross’ Torbay team are set to have a busy month. As well as taking part in Rowcroft’s annual Sleep Walk, they will also be holding a recruitment open day for nurses, healthcare assistants, support workers and home carers on the 30th July. This will be the perfect opportunity for healthcare staff who are interested in finding out more about a career with Newcross to drop into the office on Tor Hill Road and discuss the excellent benefits that Newcross has to offer.
