Newcross helps support Children in Need

Newcross Healthcare supports many amazing charitable causes; an ethos that our employees from across the country whole-heartedly uphold. So, it was with considerable excitement that all of our nearly 40 branches joined forces on the 14th November to raise money for Children in Need.

Newcross staff dressed up or down in an effort to support the fantastic cause, coming to work in anything from jeans and a t-shirt to dinosaur onesies and superhero costumes! Sweet-toothed Bristol went to town by having a yummy cake sale while others decided to bring their teddies and soft toy friends into work with them, including one very happy pirate unicorn. But then came an unexpected twist and what can only be described as the ‘pièce de résistance' of the whole day, seasoned Children In Need veterans, Truro branch blew the music world away with their rendition of ‘It’s Raining Men’ by the Weather Girls.

Children in Need supports many important causes from giving young carers a break to helping children living rough on the streets, offering them a chance to enjoy their childhood without the responsibility or hardship that life has dealt them.

Through all the activities, video performances and cakes, we have managed to raise a whopping £386.30 for this worthwhile cause.

We are proud to do our part to help support Children in Need, but we also support other charities throughout the year including the Motor Neurone Disease Association, the Alzheimer’s Society and Action Medical Research through activities from skydiving to sponsored bike rides.
