Challenging Behaviour - Can you handle it?
Whether as a result of injury, a congenital condition or illness, people can sometimes present what clinicians refer to as 'challenging behaviour'.
This can manifest as inappropriate language in social situations, aggression or sometimes even violence.
Challenging behaviour is difficult to deal with for the loved ones of those affected but it also presents challenges for carers as they administer treatment and provide support. This infographic, based on one of the Newcross training courses, provides some simple guidance for how best to deal with challenging behaviour. If you would like to learn more about this subject, please contact your local branch for details of forthcoming training sessions.
