Newcross launches new permanent Nursing contracts
Newcross Healthcare Solutions has today launched innovative, new permanent contracts for certain nurses and carers with a view to rolling this out across the company. On the anniversary of Florence Nightingale’s Birthday (12 May) and the last day of International Nurses week, the new contracts will offer staff the reassurance of permanent employment status and the guarantee that work will be available, 36 hours a week, averaged over a three month period.
Newcross Healthcare Solutions specialises in providing top- quality healthcare staff and a range of care at home services for public, private and individual clients. The company started in Torquay 18 years ago, with 42% growth last year the company has now expanded to become a nationwide employer with over 30 UK branches and over 3,500 staff.
Stephen Pattrick CEO of Newcross said: “The new contracts are the antithesis to zero hours contracts which we strongly believe have no place in the healthcare market today. At Newcross we pride ourselves on our innovation and investment in new technology, this has allowed us to understand our markets completely and develop these new contracts and guarantee full –time hours.
“Newcross is not an agency we employ our staff, and we hope that these new contracts will encourage nurses and carers who may have been cautious about working for a healthcare recruitment provider to look at us with a fresh perspective.
“The new contracts are a win-win opportunity for our staff and our clients. People prefer working with Newcross because they recognise that we provide a higher standard of care. By constantly innovating and developing our market offer we aim to lead the industry in quality and service standards.”
As well as the security of guaranteed hours and permanent employment status the new contracts also offer the following benefits: Free Disclosure and Barring Service checks (DBS); free uniforms; free medication awareness and moving and handling training and training credits to enable staff to enhance their skills.
Mr Pattrick went on to say: “It is very fitting on a day when we are celebrating the birthday of pioneering nurse Florence Nightingale that we are able to further demonstrate our company commitment to developing , enhancing and improving the healthcare recruitment market for both our employees and our clients.”
