Newcross MacMillan Coffee Mornings across the UK!

From Cornwall to Scotland Newcross office staff, carers, nurses and support workers raise a mug for Macmillan

Newcross was proud to help raise money for MacMillan Cancer Support on Friday 24th September by holding coffee mornings up and down the country!

Over 18 coffee mornings went ahead in total and fundraising ideas ranged from delicious bacon butties offered out to the general public at Head Office to enticing all the builders from a local building site into the office with offers of hot drinks and cakes in Liverpool!

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves and we have so far raised well over £1000! This includes the generous pledge from our Managing Director to match any amount that we raise as a company- and the money is still coming in!

South Devon MacMillan Fundraising Manager, Calvin Lovelock, was delighted to hear the news about how successful the day was and he was especially happy that we not only raised a lot of money but we all had fun too.

Newcross MacMillan coffee mornings also received a message of support from TV actress Rebekah Gibbs, formally an actress on BBC's Casualty, who may be more widely known for documenting her battle with breast cancer in the Mirror newspaper and in her book, Because of You.  Rebekah has also been the face of Cancer Research UK and is very supportive of all cancer support charities.
