Central Scotland's New Regional Operations Manager
The Central Scotland region has a new Regional Manager in the form of Golf lover David Laverty. Responsible for the Edinburgh, Ayr, Falkirk, Hamilton and Glasgow branches, David will oversee the operation of some of Newcross Healthcare’s biggest Scottish branches.
We sat down with David and asked him about why he wanted to join Newcross.
What did you do before joining Newcross?
I have been involved in Healthcare Recruitment for 11 years. Having worked in a variety of roles from Specialist Consultant to Regional Manager, I have worked with Public Sector, Private Sector and Third Sector businesses.
My time managing the delivery of community care services allows me to understand the end user impact and how a high quality, reliable service is key to a successful service.
What attracted you to Newcross?
Newcross is one of; if not the strongest organisation in the Healthcare market with a reputation for exceptional quality. Working within this type of environment will allow me to combine the things I love to focus on in service delivery.
Do you have any hobbies outside of work?
I am an avid golfer and try to play at least once or twice a week. I also enjoy travelling whenever possible. Through this, I have a bug for enhancing my language skills. I am currently learning Italian and Japanese.
What are you looking forward to in your new role?
I am looking forward to learning from the team at Newcross whilst bringing my experiences to help grow and develop the business in Scotland.
Geoff White, National Operation’s Director said, “Having David on board is great news for the region and marks an exciting new chapter for Newcross. His vast amount of experience is going to benefit all of our branches and staff in Central Scotland.”
