Chester branch are collecting for Ty Nos homeless shelter - and they need your help!

While many are revelling in the festivities in the lead up to Christmas, those  sleeping rough on the streets don’t have the same luxury. In this knowledge, Chester branch have started a Christmas collection branch for the homeless.

Branch manager, Ami Allmand, told us:

"This week, Lucy and I visited Ty Nos, a homeless night shelter in Wrexham. We got a small insight into how needed this service is, learning that in November they had to turn away nearly two-hundred individuals due to being full to capacity."

"Following our visit, we decided to start a collection to help support this service during the winter months when temperatures drop and the provision of a night shelter becomes even more important."

If anyone would like to make a donation please drop in to the Chester Branch any time and I will deliver before Christmas.
Things they need include: Hats, gloves, socks, jeans, coats, jumpers, boxers, shower gels, porridge, coffee, tea, sugar, cuppa soups, cereal."

Ty Nos is a 16 bed project for single homeless men and women over eighteen years old. It's open on a nightly basis from 8pm to 8am 365 days of the year. If you'd like to donate something to the shelter, drop items in to Chester branch by the end of this week. Well done Chester team!
