The city of culture: Newcross continues to expand across the North

The latest branch to be added to the Newcross family is Hull the 2017 city of culture, where more than 2,500 people are affected by dementia and just outside of Hull 4,700 people are affected in the region of East Riding.

However, with over 250 staff qualified as Dementia Friends and a number of clinical courses on offer designed to provide in depth knowledge on how to care for vulnerable adults, Newcross are ready to take on the challenge.

Located in the centre of Hull, our branch is just a short walk away from the Hull Paragon Interchange, and aims to provide highly qualified healthcare staff to Hull and the surrounding region of East Riding.

Our highly trained staff are able to learn more about Dementia by not only training as a Dementia Friend through the Alzheimer’s society, but also are able to complete our Excellence in Dementia clinical course. The course enables staff to learn about the different causes and types of dementia and how to effectively aid an individual that is suffering from the condition.

Geoff White, our National Operations Manager said,‘’We are excited to launch our newest branch in Hull and continue expanding across the North East region. We look forward to providing high quality healthcare staff across East Yorkshire”
