Excellence Award Winners announced: Southampton and Plymouth

We are thrilled to announce the winners of our Healthcare and Homecare Awards for quarter 4. Our Excellence in Healthcare winner is Marion Roach from our Southampton branch, who was also our Hidden Hero in April, recognised for her bravery in evacuating patients from a hospital fire where she was working. For our Excellence in Homecare Award, Anne-Marie Roberts from Plymouth branch was chosen based on the feedback and recommendations received from service users and clients.

Marion, a healthcare assistant from Southampton, showed ultimate courage in an emergency situation and her heroic actions enabled clients to be safely evacuated from a burning NHS unit, preventing a potential catastrophe from happening. This was recognised by the Southern Health Trust as well as by the father of the patient who said, "It could only have come from the heart."

Business Centre Manager, Zoe said, "Marion is one of our best carers with a wealth of experience working in the mental health sector. She is always willing to go that extra mile and is reliable and flexible. Her relationship with our clients and their service users is outstanding. We could not ask for a better ambassador for Newcross and all of us at Southampton are very lucky to have her on our team."
