We are delighted to announce that the prestigious Excellence in Healthcare Award for Q3 2012-2013 has been awarded to both Rebecca Beal and Emma Cordiner of Exeter branch. Rebecca and Emma are the eleventh winners of the coveted award, and are the first ever pair of joint-winners. Their dual nomination for this financial quarter highlighted an incredible level of commitment and enthusiasm to providing the best care possible for their patient.

Working on a 1:1 basis with a psychiatric patient in an acute setting, both ladies have shown an extraordinary amount of dedication that makes them very worthy winners of the award. They have been dealing with particularly challenging behaviours, yet their enthusiasm and professionalism have never wavered. Furthermore, they have attended ward meetings in their free time to ensure that the patient's needs are always met and addressed correctly.

The ward matron has been especially pleased with their contribution, describing them as "fabulous" and providing "great support over a difficult last few months". Newcross Healthcare MD Michelle Pattrick commented that "Rebecca and Emma's attitude is superb, providing exceptional care under difficult circumstances and always with a smile on their faces. Their work embodies everything that Newcross represents and we are delighted to present them with this award."

Both Rebecca and Emma will now be entered into the draw for the annual Excellence in Healthcare Award 2012 - 2013, which is due to be selected in May. With just one entry remaining, the winner of the Q4 award will join previous winners Morag Greig and Dorothy McHardy from Perth and now Rebecca and Emma in being considered for the prestigious title.
