Leading healthcare provider brings more jobs to the North East

As the UK’s leading provider of personalised healthcare solutions in the North East, we’re pleased to announce we have expanded to meet the increasing demand on our exceptional services.

Established in Durham in 2013, we’re recruiting to many new roles to ensure people requiring quality, personalised care from our highly skilled nurses and healthcare assistants, can access the services they need and deserve.

The move to bigger premises allows us provide an enhanced training and clinical support offering to the 150 clients we already help in various care settings.

Providing quality, professional healthcare across the country is at the heart of everything we do at Newcross, that’s why this significant investment in our infrastructure is essential. It allows us to ensure we can provide more people with care, and our staff can receive the high levels of training required to offer the best level of service possible.

We know that the picture nationally highlights there are significant health challenges and problems. Government statistics tell us that in the North East people are more likely to suffer from long term conditions and terminal, degenerative illness. That means demand for care for conditions including dementia continues to increase.

Steve Churches, Regional Operations Business Centre Manager said: “We know the face of healthcare is changing and more than ever, people require care that’s delivered with compassion, understanding and with an inclusive approach that in turn enhances quality of life for all.

“I am delighted that our success in the North East means we can bring even more skilled nurses and carers to the area, which as a result means we can offer personalised and planned care in various settings.

“Our growth is testament to the 70 staff already based in Durham. We have all worked hard to build a reputation for high standards and continue to build on the long term, trusting relationships we form with our clients. They are our number one priority.

“What’s fantastic about Newcross is that all of our staff are permanent employees and since day one we’ve been meticulous about training, development and clinical supervision. It makes a huge difference. Trust is so important.

"It is inspiring to see the difference our work makes to people’s lives and we are excited to see the future benefits.”

As a result of our growth we’re launching 12 new interactive healthcare courses, which make learning more engaging and effective for our staff. We’re constantly looking for better ways to build on Durham’s excellent track record, to provide excellent, innovative care to all.

Making sure care is delivered in an environment people feel safe in is essential and central to our unique approach.  We see the individual, not just the care plan and as a result we form long term, trusting relationships that enable us to foster positive working relationships.

Steve added: “On December 16th we’ll be opening our doors to our existing clients and staff and those new faces who wish to join us. It’s a great opportunity to see what we do and how our unique, high quality care makes a difference to so many.”
