Newcross apprenticeship retention rate 17% higher than national averages

Apprenticeships play a vital role in supporting the development of Newcross. We are proud to help nurture and develop individuals with potential in their careers.

Recently extracted figures have shown that Newcross Healthcare's average retention rate on Health and Social Care apprenticeship courses is 17% higher than national averages outlined in government data between 2016-2018.

The government data for both standards and frameworks are as follows:

Level 2 Adult Care Worker

536,040 Starts

389,840 Achieved

Retention 73%

Level 3 Lead Adult Care Worker

541,240 Starts

381,640 Achieved

Retention 71%

Newcross Healthcare has an 89% retention rate across these two courses.

Newcross Healthcare hosts a broad range of different apprenticeship courses. We are currently rolling out an offer to our healthcare staff to take up healthcare apprenticeships. These result in either a Level 2 or Level 3 Apprenticeship in Health and Social Care in England and Wales or a Level 2 or 3 SVQ in Health and Social Care in Scotland.

Head of Apprenticeships, Kelly-Marie Harris, said:

"I strongly believe that vocational programmes should not be seen just as an alternative track for the non-college or university bound — it should be a track for all. By supporting the fundamental skills and behaviours required in the care sector, our apprenticeships  will holistically grow our learner's career education pathways."
