Rochdale branch helps to raise £12,376 for Springhill Hospice
On Sunday 23rd December, Agnieszka Kolkowska, Norman Joseph, Malana Gaynor Hughes Bethany Grundy, and Kim Sloane accompanied Rochdale Branch Manager, Stacey Counsell, to volunteer at the annual Springhill Hospice Christmas fair.
Stacey told us, "It was a great day with Santa's grotto, various stands, food, cakes, music and lots of Christmas cheer!"
The event raised an impressive total of £12,376 - which will go towards the running of the hospice.
Springhill Hospice first opened its doors back in 1989 and is a 16 bedded purpose-built facility offering specialist palliative care to patients and their families.
It provides the highest standard of physical, psychological, emotional and spiritual care for patients with life-limiting illnesses and their families, friends and carers; encourages patients to maintain independence and control and to make informed choices, whilst respecting privacy and dignity; offers advice and support from the time of referral, throughout the illness and into the bereavement period and offers post bereavement therapies, psychotherapy and counselling.
Well done to our Rochdale team for volunteering and helping to raise such an impressive sum for a great cause.
