Newcross raises an incredible amount for Children in Need 2013

Newcross is proud to support a number of worthy charities throughout the year, and on Friday 15th November, branches across the country took part in a range of activities to raise money for Children in Need.

Some dressed up as children's characters, others sold raffle tickets and cakes and the HR team had a teddy bear's picnic; not forgetting our Head of Finance, Steve Willis, who dressed up as a fully grown baby!

We even had a show-stopping performance by the ladies in Truro branch singing and dancing to their own rendition of 'I need a Hero', which you can view on our YouTube page here.

The total raised this year was a fantastic £1493.84 which has been very kindly doubled by CEO Stephen Pattrick and Managing Director Michelle Pattrick to make an amazing total of ...

£2987.68!

Regional Operations Manager Rose Lee's 'Big Day Off' raffle was a huge success, contributing over £400 to the total amount raised. The lucky winners of an extra day's paid annual leave were Marie Pettit, Healthcare Assistant from Southampton, and Eva Pekarkova, Staff Allocation Officer at our Bristol branch.

We are also very thankful to Emma Tuttle, HR Recruiter, who donated two of her wonderfully handmade felt reindeer to be auctioned to the highest bidder.

We had two very close highest bids, and raised an amazing £60 towards the grand total!

Ceri Sargent and Joanne Clapham-Jones from Swansea branch are yet to climb Pen Y Fan as their fundraising efforts take them to the Brecon Beacons in Wales. Wishing them luck!
