Newcross staff raise over £3000 for Children In Need 2012

Children in Need is an important part of our year at Newcross, not least of which because we can all use our talents, costumes and imagination to raise money for this great cause. This year, we raised a spectacular £1,570.21, which will be very kindly doubled by Stephen and Michelle Pattrick, CEO and MD of Newcross Healthcare, so our grand total is a staggering:

There have been all manner of activities going on throughout the business in aid of this fantastic cause, including a Christmas hamper raffle, selling sweets, an auction of three fantastic pieces of jewellery and homemade cake sales. We also ran a national dress up or dress down day throughout the business, with some members of staff going all out with their costumes!

We are very grateful to Gill Skene in our Edinburgh branch and Lauren Elder in Falkirk, both of whom are very talented jewellery makers, and who each donated a fantastic auction lot. Gill created a beautiful freshwater pearl necklace and bracelet set, while Lauren made a stunning haematite and glass bead necklace. Both were hotly contested and raised an impressive £50 towards the grand total.

A big contributor to the final total was the 'Big Day Off' prize draw organised and run by Regional Operations Manager, Rose Lee. A day of annual leave was kindly donated by Michelle Pattrick as the prize and raffle tickets were sold throughout the business. The lucky winner of the day off was Michelle Damerell in Plymouth, and the contribution to the total was a massive £320!

You can see more photos of the day on the Newcross Healthcare Facebook page.
