We understand that every service user has individual needs which is why we’re flexible and will fit in with how you work. If you prefer making advance bookings, or regularly have last-minute requirements, we’ll tailor our service to you and how you work.
Whether our nurses and carers work for you on site, or in service users’ homes, individual care is what we’ll deliver. Nothing is more important to us than providing personal care, with trust, empathy and expertise. We’ll develop a strong working relationship with you to ensure that happens.
Because communication is so important in the healthcare sector we offer a 10-minute call-back service, regular contact from your local branch team and VAT-free billing.
Staff Who Care
We take pride in improving quality, and in the competency and compassion of our staff. Before we invite someone to join the Newcross team we interview them face-to-face, check their references for the last three years of work and/or study, and run an enhanced criminal background check. When new staff join, they are given a full induction and take our team pledge.
At Newcross, we make a commitment to our employees, which is reflected in the high quality of their work. Unlike agencies, we don’t offer them zero-hours or temporary contracts. Our team consists of permanent employees who are managed by a local line manager. They receive regular support, annual appraisals and regular training opportunities in their local branch.
Some of our branches are registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in England, the Care Inspectorate Wales (CIW) in Wales and the Care Inspectorate (CI) in Scotland. Additionally, all of our healthcare staff in Scotland are registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC).
The Latest Technology
We’ll support you and Newcross staff working with you through our bespoke IT system. You’ll be able to log into our system and review care plans, download invoices, see staff profiles and arrange quotes on new packages.
Our staff use digital pen technology to take patient notes. These are uploaded securely to clients’ accounts and are available for you to view when you login. A home carer will use the ʻMonty’ phone buddy system to check in and check out of each service users' home, so we are fully aware of how visits are progressing on the rota.
